April 29 – Autoflight , CITIC Offshore Helicopter, and CITIC Financial Leasing have officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement, including CITIC Financial Leasing's letter of intent to procure 100 units of large eVTOL (electric vertical takeoff and landing) aircraft. The three parties have initiated in-depth and comprehensive collaboration to accelerate the commercialization of eVTOLs in real-world applications through innovative R&D and manufacturing, mature aviation operational expertise, and flexible financial support.
The 100-unit order includes the 2-ton class cargo aircraft "Kai Rui Ou" and the 5-seater passenger aircraft "Shengshi Long", with clear business pathways and well-defined application scenarios spanning offshore operations, emergency rescue, premium tourism, and diversified operational use cases:
- For the cargo aircraft "Kai Rui Ou", the collaboration will optimize transport services for offshore oil platforms by tailoring aircraft capacity and service solutions based on oilfield scale, operational cycles, cargo categories, and personnel logistics. It will also expand into low-altitude logistics, emergency cargo transport, and rescue operations.
For the passenger aircraft "Shengshi Long", the partners will leverage regional tourism resources to develop low-altitude sightseeing, intercity travel, urban commuting, and transit connectivity scenarios.
About Autoflight
As one of the few global enterprises mastering multi-ton-class eVTOL transition flight technology and China's earliest eVTOL industry pioneer, Autoflight Aviation holds the distinction of being the world’s first company to obtain both a Type Certificate (TC) and Production Certificate (PC) for a 2-ton-class eVTOL model.
"Kai Rui Ou":
The world’s only ton-class eVTOL with dual TC and PC certifications, this model integrates vertical takeoff technology with advanced electric propulsion and intelligent flight control systems. It will prioritize applications in logistics, emergency supply delivery, and rescue missions.
"Shengshi Long":
Dubbed the "Air Taxi", this 5-seater aircraft features 100% domestically developed core modules, a 200 km range, and a cruising speed of 200 km/h. Designed for urban air mobility and metropolitan intercity travel, it significantly reduces commute times.
