Zhuoyu Technology, the automotive subsidiary of the world's leading drone maker DJI Innovations, has raised "hundreds of millions of yuan" (between 139 million and 139.2 million US dollars) in new funding from the investment arms of two Chinese state-owned automakers, GAC Group and BAIC Group, according to a report by Late Post.
GAC Capital and BAIC Capital are among the latest investors in Zhuoyu Technology. The report dated June 6 stated that Shenzhen-based Zhuoyu Technology, which was spun off from DJI Innovations in 2023, has now raised a cumulative total exceeding 25 billion yuan.
The company has supplied security-based driving assistance systems for over 20 vehicle models manufactured by nine automakers, including Volkswagen, BYD, and Chery. It is currently developing more advanced assisted driving technologies based on next-generation processors from NVIDIA and Qualcomm.
