Recently, Lanxiao Aviation, China's first range-extended tilt-rotor eVTOL cargo drone manufacturer, announced the completion of its Angel++ round of financing. This round was led by Chuxin Capital, with continued participation from existing shareholders Legend Star and Gobi Partners. To date, the company has secured three rounds of financing—Angel, Angel+, and Angel++—within six months, raising a cumulative total of nearly $15 million.
LX-1 is Lanxiao's flagship product.The LX-1 utilizes a globally pioneering hybrid layout of 6 tilt rotors + 6 vertical rotors. Its hybrid power system combines an aviation piston engine for power generation and a high-energy-density lithium battery, enabling a 1,000 km range (621 miles) and over 4 hours of flight endurance. The aircraft supports vertical takeoff and landing in complex environments, including urban rooftops, islands, and mountainous areas.
Founded in June 2024, Lanxiao Aviation focuses on the R&D and manufacturing of large-scale range-extended tilt-rotor eVTOL aircraft. Positioning itself as "China’s first range-extended tilt-rotor eVTOL aircraft manufacturer," the company aims to redefine the air cargo market by building a high-efficiency, low-altitude direct air freight network and advancing the high-end, intelligent, and sustainable development of the aviation industry. Its first range-extended tilt-rotor eVTOL cargo drone is scheduled to complete design, production, and test flights within this year. In addition to aircraft development and small-batch production goals, Lanxiao is concurrently advancing airworthiness certification and commercialization efforts.
