
On July 23, the 2025 (Inaugural) International Low-Altitude Economy Expo commenced at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai). Spanning an exhibition area of 60,000 square meters, the event features participation from nearly 300 leading global enterprises across the industry chain. These exhibitors will showcase cutting-edge achievements in drones, eVTOLs, and general aviation aircraft, while promoting outstanding solutions in energy systems, safety management platforms, infrastructure construction, and manufacturing. Over 30 forum activities are scheduled, with an expected attendance exceeding 50,000 visits.
During the expo, over 19 globally debuting products and 25 nationally debuting products were unveiled. Innovations include the world's first 7-seat, 3-ton multi-purpose eVTOL, flying car platforms, large fixed-wing unmanned aircraft, hydrogen-powered drones, aviation engines/aviation range extenders, electric drive systems, and eVTOL flight simulators.
On the morning of July 23rd, Pan-Pacific Co., Ltd. (Thailand) and Volant signed a letter of intent at the expo. The agreement involves Pan-Pacific purchasing 500 electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft from Volant, totaling US$1.75 billion. This marks the industry's largest overseas order to date.
